ALLAHABAD: Body of a youth was found hanging under suspicious circumstances in an orchard in Khaninar Dewaria village under Soraon police station of Trans-Ganga on Friday. The youth had recently returned from Mumbai where he had gone to search for a job. The youth’s family have alleged of some foul play behind his death. Mauiama police reached the scene and sent the body for post mortem examination.
According to reports, a native of Baladih village of Mauaima, Babulal’s son Mahantlal 22 had left home for Mumbai around ten days back for seeking work. On Wednesday, he called his family members and said that he was returning home as he failed to find any suitable job in Mumbai. The family members called on his mobile when he did not arrived home even after two days. However, his mobile went switched off continuously.
On Friday morning, some villagers at Khaninar Dewaria village in Soroan spotted body of a youth hanging in an orchard and raised an alarm. Soraon police also reached the scene on receiving the information and carried out investigations. Through some documents found from the body, the youth was identified as Mahantlal of Baladih village. Mahatlal’s father Babulal and other members of the family reached the spot and identified his body.
They informed the police of the circumstances under which Mahantlal had gone missing. The claimed that there was no reason over which Mahantlal could commit suicide and alleged that he was murdered and then his body was hanged to cover up the incident.
The family ruled out any enmity of Mahantlal with anyone and requested the police to thoroughly investigate into the suspicious death. Police said that body has been sent for post mortem examination and exact circumstances of the youth’s death could be ascertained only after receiving the report.
Call details of Mahantlal’s mobile will also be scanned to know whom he spoke the last time after arriving from Mumbai, police added.
