Lately, some of the leading social media platforms are slowly but steadily banning the ICO-specific advertisements. While Google and Facebook already resorted to this approach, it’s time Twitter brings the same perspective into the scheme of things. Put simply, Twitter is planning to put a quick ban on topics related to ICO advertisements. The main reason, according to the experts at OurPlatforms is to keep the spammers at bay. The self-explanatory reasons need no introduction as every credible social media platforms looks to keep deception and fraudulent activities at bay.
While twitter was in no hurry to implement the ban, the recent outbreak of doppelgangers sabotaging famous accounts readily came to the limelight. This allowed malicious parties to falsify cryptocurrency investments in a highly deceptive manner. However, according to twitter, verified cryptocurrency adverts are still supported followed by the existence of secured wallets and other related services. This charade was however started by Reddit as this platform was the first to ban the Cryptocurrencies, way back in 2016.
While we are still not sure about Twitter drawing the lines on ICO bans, the extent of legitimacy will soon be verified, in days to come. In simpler terms, illegitimate ICOs won’t be able to advertise their wallets coins and other exchanges over this platform.
